How it works
Adding VAT: the amount before VAT multiplied by 5%, rounded to the nearest fils. Removing VAT: the VAT-inclusive amount divided by 1.05 gives the amount before VAT, and the difference is the VAT.
This calculator uses the standard 5% rate. Zero-rated and exempt supplies carry no VAT. If you are unsure which applies, check with the Federal Tax Authority or your accountant.
